Diablo 3 new info

The fans want more info
Almost 3 months (i think) have passed since we saw the DiabloIII pictures.. and we need more.

The only update was the Diablo Timeline which is nice but we need more info about the new game. It would be nice to see more pictures, more artwork, more character info (maybe a new character?), more lore, more world info and the best thing of all: a new gameplay video

We are hungry for more stuff :)

Blizzard should not forget the fans, they need to keep the us entertained. It is so hard to get any info about DiabloIII from them that some fans have stopped trying…
We can already see that the hype is starting to fade away and the frenzy started when D3 was announced is no more .. A sad thing to see but this happens when you don’t have new info to comment and chew.

From all the diablo3 fans out there
: Blizzard give us a bone… anything

Diablo 3 will NOT be Released BEFORE StarCraft 2

There are rumors on the internet about Blizzard wanting to warp in D3 before Starcraft 2
Here is the actual rumor (people say that this info leaked from someone inside Blizzard) :

[Starcraft 2] is still being worked on, but only by a minuscule amount of people compared to what [Blizzard] put on the Diablo 3 team.

This is NOT TRUE !

We all know that S2 is way ahead in development than D3.
How can people be so ignorant, it is not possible and Blizzard will never do this. Think about the marketing, the money involved the hype around Starcraft 2. It would be a small disaster if D3 would be released first.

So people, stop day dreaming … i know it is painful to wait such a long time for Diablo3 but it is worth it. DO not spread around rumors that it will be released sooner…

The Diablo3 Inventory screen

This is the New Inventory Screen on DiabloIII. It is different indeed but i have to say i like it. It reminds me of Diablo1. I have to say that the Barbarian looks great on the new screen. I do miss the old D2 layout and the way you put the items on the character.. but that is life, things have to change.

I like the new way the items are placed also, although it reminds me of different games..

Another major improvement is that we can rotate and zoom on the character, this way you can really look at those uniques :)

Some don’t like it the new inventory screen but i do and i hope the GOOD changes continue.

Diablo 3 Death Time Penalty

What do you think about the time penalty when you die in the game?

Jay Wilson said in an old interview:

“Jay Wilson: We have not actually decided on the final death mechanic. I can guarantee that you will not lose experience. We are not urging to big penaltys for death. But we want enough of a penalty to be there, so that death has meaning! Like to lose a little bit time, some kind of decrement… We do not currently have a durability, but some kind of … a gold cost is actually not so bad. And having the player to waste some time, that is certainly an element. Generally we kind of rely on the effect that players do not want to die. You know, you just do not want to. So there is no real reason to add a further “ding” to them for something happening that was already unfavorable to them. But we have not got our final mechanics on that, yet.”

I agree with Wilson, death must mean something in Diablo3, not sure if Gold penalty will actually do the trick because if we look at D2 gold did not mean anything. Of course if they manage to revive the economy in D3 maybe gold loss will make the player fear death.

About the Time Penalty, i agree, i don’t mind to have my character out for a small amount of time, this will make me more careful in the future. Death must be avoided at any cost in the game. This way people will think before attacking. I see that more and more fans do not agree with the D3 time penalty, they want to jump back in and take revenge. I am sure that Blizzard will make a “smart death system” and A penalty is required.
People, do not fear the change, it is necesary, this is why it is called Diablo3 and not another sequel of DII

Diablo 3 Charms - Good or Bad

Do you remember the D2 charms ? Sure you do, and do you remember your inventory getting full because of them? Indeed, this is a hot topic today regarding Diablo 3.

Some fans don’t want the old charm system back because of the inventory space. Some say that charms should be “invisible” and that they should just be added on the character with no impact on the inventory.

Well i do not agree. If this would be the case it would mean that a character could have 1001 charms. Every single crappy charm that you could find would get equipped and in the end you would be a GOD. That is just what Blizzard is trying to avoid. I liked the old D2 system where you had to choose between a large charm and some health or restoration potions, to choose between a few charms and more free space for gear to pick up. This is the whole idea of Diablo, to plan your strategy and never having enough of anything.

We all want more space in the inventory, more monsters, more blood, more magic and more darkness. It is just not possible and it would ruin the whole gaming experience. I loved the Diablo2 charm system and i want something similar in Diablo3.

He speaks also about the team play mode in D3 and that is the backbone of the Diablo World
He speaks about the items and monsters, new info about the game stage
He speaks about the game mechanics and much more. No more talking let us hear what the man says :)

See the interview here
