The world of Diablo will go on

The Diablo legacy will go on and on, III is not the end.

It’s not just ‘Diablo III’ - we’ve got plans beyond.” says Jay Wilson the lead designer of Diablo3

It is clear that Blizzard will continue to market this great universe.

We’re not saying this is the end of the ‘Diablo’ universe, but we are trying to bring this storyline to a close,” says Jay

And why not?
Blizzard has a great idea with a huge potential. They can make anything they want, why not a Diablo MMPORG, why not Diablo 4 and why not a Diablo Movie
It would be sad to see this end at DiabloIII, the fans love the D universe, we will stand by Blizzard in any project (as long as they don’t f*ck up the idea)

Good Job Wilson and all the D3 team.
We can all sleep well knowing that even if the story comes to an end in DIII, the World of Diablo will go on. This is an immortal idea.

Adam Sessler - about the DiabloIII fans

A great video from Adam Sessler. A great rant about the fans that want to hold back a video game, the fans that are afraid of progress

Diablo 3 was the target for many angry fans that stated that the graphics stinks.
Listen to Adam, he knows what he is talking about

How dare they !

The GAMEPLAY is still the essence of Diablo3 and the game will be great!

NO Cow level in Diablo3

Fans, please stop asking, there will be no Cow Level in D3 like in D2
Blizzard will not create such zones, they kill the gameplay.

I personally hope that there will be no bugs and easter eggs in the new game because i hate them.
A good game does not need these kind of incentives,

My 2 cents ..

Diablo 2 high on sales

Well as I suspected, Diablo 2 sales have increased since Blizzard announced Diablo3
Everyone wants to play D2 now, to remember that feeling, that pleasure… I admit i just started a new game with the Necromancer (since we will not see him anymore in Diablo 3) and i love it

It is amazing how a game company can make good money with an “old” but very good game :)

Bashiok- NO to cow Level

The Diablo 2 Cowlevel was a big mistake, this is a personal idea. It was a fast way to gain experience and gold and almost ruined the game. Here is what Bashiok said when asked about the Cowlevel and the plans to bring in in Diablo3:

Yeah, who doesn’t like fighting cows running around with halberds?

I disliked the secret cow level from a design standpoint though. It actually angered me that it existed at one point, maybe it kind of still does.

I’m not a designer, at all, but in my opinion and from a design standpoint I think the secret cow level was a failure. For a long time it was one of the most lucrative ways to level, and one of the best places to MF. For an easter egg, something fun and whimsical, to overshadow the entire rest of the game was a huge problem, and one that existed for far too long. It was a fun idea, a cool nod to the rumors that spawned it, but in execution it was just… game breaking in some ways.

Indeed he speaks great words. There is no room for that idiotic area in Diablo3

A game should be played not leapfrogged by stupid maps. Some fans actually liked that level and will not be pleased to hear that the Secret Cowlevel WILL NOT exist in Diablo3

Things to change in Diablo 3 #3

I have been thinking and found one of the few flaws of Diablo2 : the acts

With the LoD addon there were max 5-6 quests per act with a total of 5 acts . If you add it all up , an experienced player could finish the game in 2-3 days max (on normal) . Even at the first run in 7-10 days you were done with the game and that almost killed it ..

People love a never-ending story , something that you can play over and over again . D2 had a secret , three levels of difficulty that were insane to play , and not to mention the BattleNET .

So , we all want Diablo III to be longer , more quests in an act and if possible a little bit of random generation , some people have proposed that Blizzard should make something like 150 quests total and activate a random 30 or 50 per play in an act (that is much but still possible)  so that when you start it over you would get different quests .

The game should be longer and more complex in story and NPC interaction , there are many fans that will play the Single Player mode first and maybe last , some will not try the BattleNET at all , so the game needs to be very appealing in the SP mode .

In D2 we loved the story , the voices and the atmosphere , for D3 they need to KEEP all that and the three levels of difficulty (Normal - Nightmare - HELL) but make it a little bigger
Some say that developers have been working on Diablo 3 for 4-5 years now , maybe that is not true , but still they had time to think this through .
